- Send text messages or emails asking you to click an unverified link to pay unexpected redirection or customs fees.
- Ask for your credit card numbers, passwords, PINs, or Bank@Post login credentials via SMS or phone call.
- Threaten to destroy or return your parcel within 12 hours unless you make an immediate transfer.

How to spot this fake:
Australia Post will only send official SMS notifications from the verified sender name "AusPost" without strange external web links (.xyz, .biz, .top). Legitimate tracking is always viewable directly inside the official MyPost App.

How to spot this fake:
Check the sender's email address. Genuine Australia Post emails come exclusively from @auspost.com.au or @auspost.com.au subdomains. We never ask for payments through third-party email links.
